This article outlines how to logon to the RADICL XTP platform for the first time, to include setting the password and configuring MFA in an authenticator app.
When first logging in to the RADICL XTP Platform, you will be forced to update your password and configure multi-factor authentication (MFA) utilizing an authenticator app.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You MUST configure MFA during the initial logon process, there is no option to “configure later,” so it is important to have an Authenticator App installed and ready to use when logging into RADICL XTP for the first time.
Setting Your Password
After logging in with your e-mail address and temporary password, you will immediately be brought to a screen to reset your password.
We recommend utilizing a password manager to ensure a password is generated that meets the strong password requirements of the platform.
If you’re not currently using a password manager, we recommend 1Password (available here: https://1password.com/ ), but any modern password manager will work.
Most password managers have a plugin for the browser that will automatically generate and store credentials. Otherwise, you can add an item in your password manager application and copy/paste the URL, username, and password.
Many password managers also have the ability to auto-fill the login page on subsequent logins, so you won’t need to memorize your password, copy/paste on each login, etc.
Configuring Multi-Factor Authentication
After setting up your password, you will be brought to a screen to configure MFA:
To configure MFA, you will need to have an Authenticator App. Many password managers, such as 1Password, contain built-in Authenticator App functionality. This option is desirable as it can also auto-fill the one-time-pin along with the username/password each time you login. If you’re using a password manager that does not have Authenticator capabilities, we recommend the following Authenticator Apps:
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Google Authenticator
Both can be found by searching in Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
Setting up MFA is generally the same across the various Authenticator Apps.
- In your Authenticator App there will be an option to add an item. Select this option.
- If the Authenticator App is running your mobile device:
- Look for an icon or text to scan a QR code.
- Scan the QR code displayed on the RADICL XTP Login screen with the app and Save.
- The Authenticator App should start to display temporary 6 digit codes.
- If the Authenticator App is running on your computer:
- Look for an option to enter a key or code in the Authenticator App
- Clock “Show secret key” next to the QR code in the RADICL XTP Login screen.
- Copy this value into the Authenticator App and Save.
- The Authenticator App should start to display temporary 6 digit codes.
- Enter the current 6-digit code from the Authenticator App into the RADICL XTP Platform’s MFA setup screen’s “Enter a code from your authenticator app” field:
- The “Enter a friendly device name – optional” field is not required, but intended to use as a reminder for which device the Authenticator App in use is configured on.
- Click “Sign In” and you will be brought into the RADICL XTP Platform.
